Choose a support for a condition you can actually create. Before investing in this Rukia, check whether your intended encounter lets you establish and use her status-dependent opening.

Which Rukia does this guide cover?
This page covers only Squad 13 Lieutenant. The publisher describes a Chain support whose team critical benefit depends on attacking an enemy under a status effect. Her Skill applies Bind; her Mortal Blow applies Freeze. Those are the announced mechanics, not a promise that every opponent will accept those effects. The official introduction was checked on October 29, 2026 and still carries a development disclaimer. Rarity, release-client values and investment requirements have not been independently verified.
Read the trigger before choosing the teammate
Our planning advice is to work backward from the action you want to improve. Write down the intended attacker, the opening you want to use, and what must happen immediately beforehand. Then inspect the current enemy and ability descriptions for anything that could break that plan. A support slot is difficult to justify if its contribution is available only after the dangerous part of a fight has passed. This is a decision framework, not a tested rotation or a claim about immunity in a particular encounter.
A hypothetical three-slot worksheet
Give slot one the damage job, slot two the enabling job and slot three the answer to the encounter. Rukia is a candidate for the enabling job here. Start with characters you already own, keeping each exact variant and ability stage on the worksheet. Leave the third slot open until you know whether the immediate problem is survival, access to an opening or insufficient damage. Do not fill it solely because another unit has a high position on an unrelated ranking. No particular three-character lineup has been validated by this guide.
Rukia or Rangiku: compare the condition
The useful comparison is conditional access versus handoff timing. Rukia’s announced benefit is tied to an affected target; Rangiku’s introduction describes a benefit when she returns to Standby. Our inference is that you should compare the reliability of those two conditions in your own plan before comparing headline numbers. Read the separate Rangiku breakdown for that handoff question. This comparison does not establish that either character wins every matchup or that their effects stack.
Common mistakes before spending resources
Do not treat a character name as a complete unit identity. Avoid copying a recommendation without checking the bracketed variant, and do not assume the final ability description applies to your current investment. We deliberately omit disputed final values: earlier search excerpts and the opened official page did not agree. Also keep the desired result separate from the animation you see. An impressive action is not sufficient evidence that a team bonus activated or benefited the action you intended.
How to review your own result
For a useful comparison, keep the opponent, upgrades and intended damage action consistent. Record whether the condition was achieved, whether the intended action followed it, and whether the team survived long enough to use the plan. Change one candidate at a time. Treat a single favorable attempt as a lead, not a tier placement. If the current client contradicts the published introduction, use the client description for your play decision and retain the build, region and exact text when documenting the discrepancy.
